Add a Firecrawl key to read modern websites
Give your AI employee the ability to read JavaScript-heavy websites — the dynamic pages that ordinary scrapers can’t see.
Firecrawl — API KeysWhy we ask for this
Many modern websites build their content in the browser with JavaScript, so a plain HTTP request returns an almost empty page. Firecrawl renders those pages the way a real browser would and returns clean, readable content — letting your AI employee actually read product pages, articles, and dashboards it needs for its work.
This is a proxied key. It is stored encrypted at our backend (AES-256-GCM) and is never injected into your workroom container. When a page needs scraping, the container calls a backend proxy that attaches the key for that one request, so the credential never sits inside the running environment.
We ask for your own key so that scraping is billed to your Firecrawl plan and counts against your page credits — never a shared pool that other tenants could drain. You see and control your usage, and you can rotate or revoke the key from the Firecrawl dashboard at any time to immediately stop further access.
Where to get your API key

- 2Open the API Keys section of your dashboard.
- 3Click to create a new API key — it usually starts with "fc-".
- 4Copy the key and keep it somewhere safe.
- 5Paste it into this field and save.
